Like you, we love the feeling when all the pieces come together.

When you see your life and how God is involved in it, and the importance of rubbing shoulders with others who follow Jesus, you’ll know the importance of joining into a family of faith.

Gloria Dei began with that in mind. In 1946, seven people gathered around a kitchen table determined to form families with Christ at the center. From this humble beginning, Gloria Dei (fancy Latin for “to the glory of God”) was birthed. As a family of faith, we continue with that intent: to live life connected to Christ and to each other.

We express this in three simple words: Connect, Grow and Serve.

Gloria Dei believes:

  • That the Bible is the final authority on all matters of morality, faith and life.
  • In the traditional Lutheran heritage as expressed in the Creeds and Lutheran Confessions in accordance with the Bible and practiced in the ministry of Word and Sacrament.
  • That Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior has commissioned us to learn, to teach and to live by His commands.
  • That we are called to be an open church, accepting all who wish to become a follower of Jesus through worship, community outreach and worldwide mission.
  • That we are people bought by God’s grace and therefore a culture of joy should permeate all that we do, as demonstrated through our use of our time, our talent and our treasure.
  • A special THANK YOU to our Gloria Dei Lutheran Church family; to each and everyone who has prayed for us, sent cards or passed along kind-encouraging words. Your thoughtfulness has lifted and comforted our spirits as we have processed medical diagnosis, treatment options and questions about what the future may have in store.

The Lord is Always Merciful; is a theme, which has been continuously present as we share tears, laughter, and unexpected blessings through this season.

  • Dear Gloria Dei Church Family,

  • Dear Gloria Dei Building Committee,

Thank you so much for the new office! I am so grateful for all of your hard work in making my office a better (and warmer) place to work. I am very grateful for the men who were so willing to move everything for me as I am not able to do any heavy lifting at this time. I really enjoyed getting to know you all.

Words cannot express my appreciation! You all are amazing!

  • I like the choice of a traditional Christian service & a contemporary praise/worship each Sunday. I love the Christian fellowship with all parishioners. The whole church seems as one believing body supporting each other in prayer, mission, & friendship.
